Computed Tomography (CT): Recurrent Paediatric Intussusception
A 6-year-old child recently underwent a pneumatic reduction for intussusception (a condition where one segment of the intestine slides into another). Unfortunately, despite the treatment, the child continued to experience intermittent colicky abdominal pain.
Referred by the attending doctor, the child did a detailed abdominal and pelvic CT scan at our department. The images revealed a recurrent colic-colic intussusception which required an immediate follow-up treatment.
